OK I encoded a CVD that I was very pleased with a couple of days ago.

My PC crashes and I end up re-installing my pervious image. I then install TMPGEnc 2.56 (I was previously using 2.54). I try to re-encode the CVD from the exact same source using the same template and I don't seem to be able to achieve the same Quality as what I encoded a couple of days ago and its driving me nuts

I need to analyze the original file, what program can I use to do this any thoughts?

    Regards

  2. If it's playable on Window's Media Player, right click -> Properties->Advanced->MPEG Video Decoder->Properties. You will retrieve the bit-rate info. As for the GOP structure, not sure how to analyse. Anyone?

    Thanks for the link

I went to the link http://teco.emg.hu/bitratev/BV.EXE but unfortunately I get an 404 error (file not on server).

    Anyone have a copy?

    Truman,

That's the link I used, but when you click to download, you are taken to:
    http://teco.emg.hu/bitratev/BV.EXE

    Its a dead link.
