I'm making SVCDs from VHS, and everything is perfect except that blockiness. The colors are vibrant and colorful. No matter what bitrate I set it to, it still displays a lot of blockiness. Is there a way to reduce it? I'm using TMPEnc12i. Thanks.

You can partialy eliminate blockiness by either using a higher bitrate or by using the "soften noise block" in "quantize matrix" in the settings feature of TMPGEnc.
