  1. Good Day: Can someone help me with this SVCD problem... every time I download and play a SVCD (even when it is given to me by anyone) on my stand alone DVD player (Go Video) the audio skips. How can I prevent this from happening? Is it something I am doing wrong?HELP!!!

Secondly, Is there a way I can play a SVCD on my computer?

Thanks a lot for all your help and comments.

    Sincerely,

    Coraili

  2. Dear Baldrick: Thank you for your speedy response to my second question. But, I still would like to know if there is a way I can prevent the audio skipping when I play SVCDs which I downloaded from the web on my stand alone DVD player. One of my coworkers said that I can re-encode the svcd with nero...Is this correct?. If yes... would it help and what are the steps to do so.

    Thank you
    Sincerely,

    Coraili

Some players handle SVCD better than others. I have one which is OK, and another which falters with the audio. Not with all SVCD, but most. You can try different CDR, different burning software, but I'm not sure it is possible to easily work out why some play fine and others don't. All I can say is some players are better than others with SVCD.

If you want a player for your PC, then I would recommend PowerDVD. I cannot give any warez links, but if you would like to try the software, then do a search on Google for a character called Fosi. I am sure after evaluating the software you will buy it. 8)
