Hey everyone
I'm still pretty new to this, so i got a ton of questions, and here's my latest: How can i get the best quality rip?
What processes should i use to get the best picture and overall quality, which formats should i encode to? and which programs produce the best results? ( i hear that some mpeg encoding softwares are better than others)
If you know how to get the best results, please let me know! Thanks!
Mojo

Well first of all I want to say is that I'm also an newb at this. But I already tested several times. First thing you have to do is pick a format. Do you
1)want to play it only on your PC or
2)do you want to watch it on your standalone DVD player.
If you chose for 1 I think divx is the best format and if you want 2 I would recommend the DVD to CVD guide from baker, it gave me very good results. -
I definately want it to play on my standalone,
So is using DVD2SVCD the best program to use?
Thanks

In my opinion, yes DVD2SCVD is the best(easiest) to use. Check the guides here and on doom9.org . They are well writen and easy to understand
