I've managed to covert, edit and burn several .rm files to VCD successfully but the annimation isn't as smooth as I think it could be!!
I used tinra and TMPGEnc to convert and Nero to burn. Are there any settings in TMPGEnc I could "Tweek" to give me smoother playback..?
I know with .rm files (to quote this site) "crap in - crap out" !! But is there anything anyone can suggest ???

P.S. I'd just like to say a BIG thank you to all you guys that have helped me so far ... you're all really friendly to us poor newbiesand made my learning process soooooo much easier. (blows kisses !)

you can only get as smooth as the source. My DVD player has trouble with 23.976fps VCD's so I use a 3:2 pulldown to allow 29.97fps playback ant the vcd's play smooth. if you're using Mpeg-2 then there is a setting for DC component precision where the higher the setting the smoother the movie. this option is not available for mpeg-1
remember to keep the same fps as the source (except when using a pulldown method). Changing fps during encoding will make the video look jerky. it all relies in your settings. rm videos aren't always standard NTSC or PAL...Big_Jit -
Silly question I guess, but how can I find out the original setting for my .rm file?
