Forget PowerVCR.
I installed the audio patch I downloaded from their website and the audio problem is still not fixed. -
I have an ATI TV wonder and am using powervcr II 3.0 and have had no problems with the audio.
Do you have your computer set up for line input (and the corresponding settings in powervcr II to line input)? -
Unfortunately, YES! I open the windows volume control panel and keep things set to the line-in, and make sure that the profiles are looking for the line-in as well. I have Windows 98SE, perhaps it is the link to the problem. Should be interesting if I can get PowerDirector to accept the audio (when I test later tonight).

do you have it set in the profiles section of powervcr II? If so, are you absolutely sure that the cord going into the back/front of your computer is the true "line-in".
Since I never read directions, I would just keep plugging the cord into the available slots on the sound card until I got one to work. -
You mentioned that you have an AMD system with win98se. I read some where on a message forum that lot of people who have VIA chipset motherboard are having problem with ATI product. Could it be that your TV Wonder is not compatible with your AMD system ? This is just a thought. I might be 100% wrong.
