When I burn VCD or SVCD mpegs to DVD using the SVCD to DVD and VCD to DVD conversion guides the sound quality of the DVD-VCD or DVD-SVCD is not as good.
I know this is probably because of the resampling to 48000/224 but is there any way to correct it and have the same quality is burning a normal (S)VCD CD?

leave the sampling frequency at 44.1KHZ and see if your DVD player still plays it.
Many do.

do you "use toolame or ssrc as external audio encoders if you are not happy with the tmpgenc audio quality" as suggested in the guides. TmpGenc Audio conversion quality is not the best!
