Hi,
I've successfully created a VCD from a .rm file through tinra, TMPGEnc then Nero to burn. It plays quite well on my Phillips DVD712 - however it's not the smoothest play I've seen. It will freeze for a few seconds in random places, sometimes turning "blocky" before continuing. It's never in the same place twice though ???![]()
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can improve the playablilty? I have also had the same thing occurr in a VCD burned direct from an Mpeg source so I don't think it's the .rm file ???
Any help would be kindly appriciated.

Search in the previous postings in the forum section for DVD Players. The title of the thread is 'Philips firmware upgrade'.
I think the instructions there will solve your problems. I now have smooth VCD playback after upgrading my Philips DVD. -
I managed to find the post and the site (http://www.ianc.net/philips/downloads.shtml)
Followed the instructions and (fingers crossed) it doesn't skip any more !!!
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

P.S. The site above is only for Phillips DVDs~*Love it or shove it*~
