  1. I went through my files yesterday and found a huge bunch of MPEG/MPG files that I had downloaded a while back. Since I only learnt how to make VCDs yesterday, I thought I'd try them out but when I tried to burn them, I got different messages that basically had the same meaning: the file is messed up. So, I was thinking that I should convert the MPEG to MPG in VirtualDub? And then see if that works? I'm not sure if it would, and I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me. Also, when I converted from .rm to .avi using TINRA, the first video was excellent (the video and sound matched, and the quality was good) except from the second one onwards, the sound wouldn't match with the video. The video was always one step behind the audio, but the quality was good...is there something wrong with what I did? I used VDub to "scan streaming video for error" and nothing was wrong...I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks!

  2. VirtualDub doesn't encode to MPEG as far as I know.

You will need to use an MPEG encoder (e.g., TMPGEnc).

Yeah, that's what I meant. I used TMPGEnc to convert them. Yeah, I decided to just go ahead and convert all the videos anyway. Thanks
