    HI need some kind of codec so i can play .cam files on WMP

    sorry but i have never encountered a file extension of .cam in all my experience. cam is a descriptive term used in titling of files. it means the film was captured from a big screen using a camcorder. you might want to try renaming the file to carry an .avi, .asf or mpg extension, those are the most common and i suspect you got a file that somehow got the end of the file name cut off.
