Hi guys, I need some help here. I cannot play or convert avi(divx) file d/l from KAZAA. I followed all the guides here but still cannot convert using TMPGenc. I installed Divx code all version, 3.1,4.0 and 5.02 and already tried Nimo code pack, but still wont do the trick.
I have no idea now so if you guys have any suggestions please feel free to post here.
Playing:
- PowerDVD4.0xp: running, no picture, can hear sound
- Divx Player 2.0 Alpha: Failed to open avi file
- WMP7.0: Error code
Converting: cannot open in Tmpgenc (unsupported), already tried to change VFAPI plugin setting.
I'm really appicieate if you guys can help me out, thanks in advance

Oh I got it guys
. It's just my bad, after I let WMP download the code from internet then I am able to watch and convert all divx files.
One more question, though. Do you think if I can get better quality if I convert divx (320x240) into SVCD format instead of VCD format? -
Depends on the divx - a good quality might make a better SVCD but you'll probably have to try to make both & see which one you like best.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
