I am wondering if anyone knows where I could get the 99 min CDRs. And another question is are they worth it?

I've seen them at CompUSA (US). I would think you could find them somewhere online as well.

CompUSA has them. They run specials on them from time to time. Work well frm my exp as CD-Rs, don't know about VCD/SVCD.

I've burned VCDs (around 90 minutes) to some of the CompUSA 99-minute CDs. I think in some places they don't have them anymore. I've found the media quality to be spotty - two CDs burned fine, the third failed, when I did a simulation on a fourth it failed, and the fifth CD burned fine. I downloaded Feurio and the CD that failed the simulation only tested good to 81 minutes.
Actually, some of those problems might be the burner. My Sony CRX175A1 doesn't officially support 90/99min media, but those three CDs burned and play with no problems at all. It could be a matter of how far out of spec a particular disc is. -
