  1. Ive converted a 690mb AVI to VCD, the conversion worked fine, but the size of it is 1.1gb, is there a way to convert so it about 700mb?

  2. You can lower the bitrate but that will make your quality worse or you could use a template someone has made, but then you will be making a XVCD which some players won't play.

    Just edit it in TMPGenc. You can set it on there so it will encode half way thru the avi file. And then you can set the starting point at the midway point and encode the second half. You will need 2 cd's but its the only way i know of to get it to work. You can do this by going to settings...then click the advanced button....then double click source range in the lower window. Set the times to about half and half, and remember to rename the files something like 1 or 2.
