Hi,
I have a couple of AVI's around abouts the 730MB mark that I would like to reduce to fit on an 80 minute/700MB CD. I have managed to reduce one of them with Virtual Dub to teh desired size but endeed up with a greem line along teh bottom of the video.
Can anyone possibly advise me where I am going wrong/inform me what I should be doing?
Cheers,
Anderz

DivX 3.11 Alpha Low motion
Vdub
Video > Full processing mode
Video > Compression > DivX Mpeg-4 Low motion > Configure > Lower data rate (smaller size)
Chopping out bits of the movie should be done using streaming, not full processing mode, however if there is nothing you can chop out, you need to re-encode either to a better codec, or use the same with a lower data rate.
The quality will also go down, but if your source is good quality, you can get that data rate below 250 -
Hi,
Cheers for that, it seems to work great, I don't know what I did to ge the green line before unless that was what you were talking about with the cutting the movie for streaming. I though I had done what I am doing know after your suggestion.
Well appreciated
