I am trying to learn the ropes to convert VHS video tapes to VCD's using the ADS Instant DVD. I converted my first couple of movies to MPEG 1 using the ADS and their CapWiz software. Picture quality looked pretty good on the computer (at reduced size) but when I burned the movies to CD using Nero, the quality of the picture was very digitized and didn't look anywhere near as good as the original source when played on my home DVD player. Nero also brought up a message that the movie was not in the proper MPEG format and asked me if I wanted to convert it. I tried it both ways, with the Nero conversion and without. Both look about the same. Any suggestions on how I might improve my picture quality???
