hi again, been doing some converting with tmpgenc.when you go to advance tab, then source,i select full screen keep aspect aspect ratio if you want the film exactly as it is.i then leave aspect ratio as 1.1. i noticed after that the film encoded is slightly larger than the avi version.the resolution is 352x208.as avi,but when converted is 352x288.i wanted to leave as original as the pic deteriates when enlarge resolution. thanks

PAL VCDs have a native resolution of 352x288 and SVCDs 480x576. By loading the VCD template within TMPGEnc you are effectively telling the encoder to resize the video to fit the standards.

By unlocking the template you can encode to a non standard resolution such as 352x208 but it is unlikely to then play in your DVD player.

I forget how to do it but you add black bars to fill the area making it the correct size for the vcd or svcd standard but retaining the original movie size. Anyone remember how to do this?

    Good luck!
