  1. I have run dvd2svcd on Windows XP for a movie but I cannot get it to play in my Apex 3201. It gets stuck on "Loading" and never does anything.

I can play the SVCDs on my PC using Windvd4 w/out a problem. I've tried burning the .mpgs and/or the .bin files using VCDEasy, Nero 5.5.82, CDRWin 3.9A. I also tried to burn a downloaded SVCD & no go on that. My player is suppose to support SVCD but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    I have a Compaq 5423 system that came w/a DVD-ROM & CD-R (something generic).

I didn't change any settings in the dvd2svcd as I'm quite the newbie. I can play VCDs in my Apex w/out problem. I'm also using Maxell CDR-700's (24x).

    Any clues? I'm just lost.

  2. I have an APEX 5131 and had similiar prblems. What I did to correct the problem was to author the bin files as non-compliant. It uses the MPEGAV directory instead of the MPEG2 directory.
