  1. Maybe this is a dumb question but I would like to extract the audio from a music dvd,to put in on a cdr. However it is not clear to me how to do that the simplest way.
I found a guide here, that says you first have to rip the movie to your HD, which can be done following steps 1a-1c of Sefy's Guide. These steps are done in DVD2AVI. Does this mean I can rip the movie directly from the dvd itself using AVI or do I have to use, eg , Smartripper anyway first to rip and THEN use DVD2AVI ?
Like I said it might be a stupid question but I am rather new to this.
    TIA

  2. Here is an idea for you, that i've used myself a couple of times and found it usefull:

    1) use Smart Ripper, and in the Settings, select the split to be each Chapter, this way each song on the DVD will be a seperate VOB file.

    2) use either DVD2AVI or any other VOB to WAV extraction, and decode each VOB file seperatly!

    3) now you'll have WAV files and each is your song from the DVD, use any Audio CD burning program to burn those WAV files, and you are done.

  5. I did what you said and all went well ! Although it is some extra work
( there were 23 chapters/songs on the dvd) I now have 23 WAV files on my disk. I am now going to burn them on cdr.
I assume there is no other way than opening and saving each vob file separately in DVD2AVI ? I mean, there is no way to do that in one run ?
    Thanks again for your help.

  6. Well, as this is not my "speciality" i'm not familiar with other ways, I know this one works (although annoying!) so I just used it, if you find another method which is less lenghty, let me know
