I used to capture all the time using Virtualdub, WinTV GO, and Soundblaster live. I recently rebuilt my system (Win 9x) and now the capture no longer works!! When I try to start capturing it drops a ton of frames and then says 'Capture Error 441: Audio Data was lost".
UPDATE!!:
I was able to get some improvement by adjusting the video buffer limit, audio buffer limit, and audio buffer size options. BUT- I'm still dropping frames (too many) and sometimes getting the Audio data was lost message. I do think it's an audio video sync (or driver?) problem because:
1. The hard drive is fast enough and defragged.
2. CPU load is low during the capture and decreasing the
resolution and/or quality doesn't help.
This used to work great on this system!!! Can anyone give me some
advice on the audio / buffer settings or tell me what combination of drivers they're using with this setup. For the SB Live I'm only running
the basic drivers and I don't have all the extra liveware stuff loaded, could that cause this problem??? tnx
