avi to mpeg again wont play

hi i just converted blade 2 from avi to vcd on rw cd but wont play on philips q40 dvd.this machine will play cdrw as i played spiderman on it from some other copy.it seems every vcd i have done including cdr's wont play,even on a sony ns400.is it me?the disc i have done plays fine back on the comp.i am using easy cd creater4 to burn and using the data option.also tried traxdata ant verbatim discs with no luck

When you make a VCD, you can't just throw the files onto the CD. VCDs are special. So use NERO's Video-CD option or VCDeasy.

thanks.making a file from avi to mpeg is much harder than creating/burning to disc.i only no realised that easy cd creater 4 doesnt support video cd's.how stupid of me
