  1. Is there a limit to the file size that can be imported into SpruceUp ?
I'm encoding a dvd video with Tmpgenc (after finding out that the file would be approx 5 GBs) that is too large to fit on a dvd-r and received a warning from Tmpgenc that the file would maybe too large to be used in an authoring programme. I used the dvd template and set the bitrate so as to use 98% of the 4.5 dvd-r disc. The sequence used was SmartRipper - DVD2AVI - Tmpgenc (DVD-PAL)
I'm using NTFS for my drive that I do the encoding on.
So if SpruceUp won't accept the file, can I just cut it using Tmpgenc's "merge & cut" to mpeg2 and then will SpruceUp be able to allow the 2 sections to play straight after each other ?
    Cheers for any help
    Chris.

I've imported video .M2V files into Spruceup as large as 4.3GB with no problems. This was over the MAX size (when the audio was brought in) allowable on a DVD-R (I made a mistake in my calculations). If you have to have your file that large, then you will have to split it into two parts and author it TWICE as two separate DVD-Rs - there is no "INSERT ANOTHER DVD-R DISK" option in Spruceup.

If you are using NTFS, then I don't think that you will have any problems (with Spruceup, anyway).

  3. Cheers for the reply.
I encoded and kept the bit rate at 98% of the 4.5GB limit and SpruceUP compiled it OK.
I've realised that I should have just encoded the video and used the 5.1 ac3 sound file I'd ripped earlier.
Hell I'm still learning, probably be skint before I've mastered it
    Cheers
    Chris.
