  1. Hey guys, another little problem which leeds me to HaraKiri...

The MPG2 file from the CD seems to be broken. Originally it have to be about 730 MB after reading out the SVCD with VCDGear 3.07beta (Using MPEG -> MPEG) but at 350MB the program rewrites the MPG header and stopps. The file is only about 350MB and broken...

Hmm, then the multiplexing with another audio stream fails. Not really failing because the video stream is already broken.

How can i read a functioning stream out of the CD or better asked whats the problem?

Who knows a possible answer to solve this prob...

    Please, HaraKiri is near...

I already tested cdMAGE (program like isobuster), but this didnīt work well because it read out the whole stream, but then - when multiplexing - TMPG only writes 350MB again...

    plz more ideas...

But i will now test isobuster first...

See if you can copy the mpg from the SVCD to your HD. Then try first with TMPGenc to demultiplex. Then try to multiplex. You will probably get errors at the multiplex stage. If you do, then try running it through DVD2AVI, as per the guide on this site about converting SVCD to VCD. Then encode the audio and video streams to SVCD again. This is not ideal, but the quality should be pretty close to the original.

If demultiplexing won't work, your only option is to use DVD2AVI IMO.
