    hi all..
    nice greetings from vienna

yes i have a big problem with burning VCDs with my old 8x plextor burner (scsi)...
every VCD i have burned isnt playable by my standalone DVD player Daewoo 8000F.. which i buyed in a media markt in vienna..

so now my question.. is it possible that my DVD player cant read CD-R discs which are burned with a CD-R only writer ??
becaus if i burn the same discs on the cd-rw burner of my fater or girldfriend the discs worked very good..

i also tested low speed (4x) but there is the same problem, bad picture, big colour errors and so on.. and often the DVD player stops working

Check the DVD compatibility list to see what you player supports. My guess is that it doesn't officially support CDR/RW but will accept the CDRW. My Panasonic RV31 does the same thing. Doesn't mind the CDRW but gaffs on any CDR.
    Have a good one,
