    what is the best program for ripping dvd to vcd
    can someone tell me what i need??

    well, use dvd decrypter to rip the dvd, then use dvdx or flask mpeg to encode the dvd to vcd. finally use nero to burn.

    This is indeed one way...but it ain't the best !
    To be honest I also use that way (though with the CinemaCraftEncoder codec in FlasK) but I think DVD2SVCD and TMPGenc can give better quality and options when used with the right settings
