  1. I am looking for ways to improve resolution on VCD that I am creating. Currently I am capturing a TV show with and All-in-Wonder RADEON card to VCD format and then using ULead Video studio to edit out the commercial and then rendering to VCD. The finial VCD format is not as clear as the original VCD format. I have tried capturing to MPEG2 but I an having aspect ratio problems when rendering to teh finial VCD format.

    Any recomendation are welcome....

First of all, I have an ATI card too and they suck! But I have found some ways to improve the quality. Capture it at MPEG 1 but at a higher bitrate and resolution. I have a 733 mhz P3 and can capture at 2.3 mbps at 320X240 with less then 1% frame rate loss (no big deal, since you really cant tell). Then after editing it, Save it at a higher bitrate then vcd (1.4mbps is pretty good) and then convert it to vcd using TMPGEnc. Its long but I find it to give the best quality.
