When trying to rip a DVD-9 to a DVD-5, it is often necessary to transcode the video stream in an effort to shrink the filesize. You can then remux the new video stream and the audio using IfoEdit.
But is it possible to re-encode the AUDIO stream instead, and then use IfoEdit to remux? Changing WAV audio to MP3 audio would greatly reduce the filesize. I saw that someone had done this with just the main movie file, then authored using SpruceUp. But i'd like to figure out a way to do it using IfoEdit and still keeping all original menus and extras and such. Has anyone tried this?
