Nero VCD Problems

I'm trying to produce a VCD of still pictures in Nero. I manged to do this once onto CD-RW without problems - it played fine. Now I want to burn to a CDR and although it burns OK, the CD doesn't play in my Aiwa DVD player. I tried again, using a CD-RW but I have the same problem. The DVD doesn't play the CD although it recognises it as a VCD. I just can't figure out what is wrong so any help would be great.

Just a suggestion:

activate PBC in your setup menu of your Aiwa standalone. This way it will recognize the VCD as VCD 2.0 ( I hope this helps)
