converting 30fps divx to 24fps divx

i'm pretty sure i'd have to extract the divx to uncompressed avi (or some other lossless codec) and then encode to 24fps divx...

but is there any other simpler way?

the reason i want to do so is to make the file size smaller.. i've already trimmed out credits and converted audio to vbr mp3...

actually the file size won't get smaller unless you re-encode by ropping frames which in-turn will make your video look choppy (it won't play smoothly)...
