  1. Hello,

I am looking to purchase a good and reasonable priced Progressive Scan DVD Player that can play most of the generic DVD-R media out there? Is there such a player? I would also like it to play MP3 media vis its digital/optical out. I say this because the JVC's tend to play MP3's but only analog out.

Has anyone had great success with some particular DVD player and generic (cheap <$2) DVD-R media?

    Thanks,

Apex's forthcoming AD-2500 will do what you wish. (apexdigitalinc.com)

I have a Toshiba SD-5700, and it plays any dvd media i can toss at it.
    DVD-R/RW, DVD+RW

I've used Pioneer discs, as well as cheap media from Princo, Meritline, cdrecordable, etc, etc,

I'd say 90% of what I burn is from using Ulead DVD Workshop..maybe 3 discs are DVD copies from either Nero or Prassi.

  8. Many of the Pioneer's will play anything. The Apex's will too, but the Pioneer's look better doing it!

  9. I ended up with the Panasonic DVD-R62. It seems tyo play everything I've thrown at it so far. I might buy another for an additional room.

    Thanks for all the replies,
