I have a small problem at the moment, with backing up dvds to dvdr's.
Every time i get a film that is like 6 gig with the menu, i decide to take out some of the extra audio streams that are on the disk. This way it all fits on with the menu aswell!
So I have the files .......
VTS01_0.ifo & bup
and then the menu vob - VTS_01_0.vob
then the movie files
VTS_01_1.vob to VTS_01_5.vob
so i open up the VTS_01_0.ifo file in ifoedit , and ask it to rip the streams out of the disk, just leaving 1 video + 1 audio stream.
However after it scans and remakes the vob files, it leaves out the menu files. (IFO infomation and VOB file)
Now I can just copy back the vob file and IFO file from the original disk, this will work, but the menus now point to the wrong places (as the file size + structure has changed because of the streams being ripped)
please can anyone help me out here, I am getting desperate
thanks greatly for anyhelp !!

why dont you just take out the streams when you rip the DVD. Open up smartripper and go to stream process. And it should just take out all the streams you dont want with out messing up the menu. But ifs its still big you can always go back and use ifoedit.

as when you rip with stream processing on in smart ripper, that wont include the menu files, just the main movie file. Which is the same problem as with ifo edit really.
thanks for the idea any how
