  1. I have a ton of stuff I've downloaded but I can't seem to convert it no matter what I use. I've gotten all the divx codecs and tmpgenc refuses to do anything with them. I checked the properties of the movies I have and under compression they all say H263DRV. I have no idea what that is could it be the problem?

  3. well i checked and under file type they say "video clip" and the fps are way low. they're all like 12-20 fps. Tmpgenc won't open them and I can't convert them so i'm lost.

    H263DRV is the Microsoft/Intel codec used for decomprssion only

    Video clips, just means that windows association has identified that as that file type, Like it might say document for a text file.

    It also sounds like the information your obtaining is perhaps the default, because the system is unable to identify the type, because you don't have the correct codec.

    If you can load them into Vdub, select file > File information, that should give you more data, meanwhile go download the nimo codec pack, that fixes most of these problems.

    Also in TMPGEnc do this;
    2b Select options > environmental settings
    2c click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    2d right click the "DirectDraw" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

  10. well when i click on details it says the name, size, and as type it has "video clip". if i check under properties under video compression it says, "H263DRV". They're all movies i've downloaded off kazaa I'm not sure if we're allowed to discuss.......
    virtual dub may have worked since after using that i can load it in tmpgenc. and it seems to be making it into an mpeg1 now. i hope there's a quicker way though i'm still not sure what the problem is

    Yep, one of the links does work. looks like the others are down and like you said you get a 0 byte file.

    wanadoo works, just tested it.
