  1. Hello everyone. I have a new problem that has arised using videowave 5, demo worked flawless, purchased boxed version and that is where my troubles begin. when I try to produce a finished movie from my storyline (that I have spent several hours putting together) the production will freeze up and stop encoding. trying other movies and other story boards will have the production freeze at different intervals. sometimes it will almost get to the end before a freeze up. the captured avi file plays back fine as a whole but trying to encode it to a mpeg 2 within videowave 5 it will hang up. Any ideas ?

    Thanks

  2. Update to clarify. I have discovered the "hang" when going to production is only when using a captured file of mpeg 2 of high bit rate and NOT AVI files. (wonder if I can convert the mpg to avi).... If I capture video as a good quality AVI file and then encode the production to mpeg2 it will not hang. (from there I use the tmpec program and burn with nero)).... So why would this occur. Makes no sense to me. Unless the mpeg2 capture codec or something is damaged. I have installed and reinstalled videowave several times to no improvement. For now I guess I will have to capture in AVI file format but the files are like 4 times the size of a regular file. It is also possible that video wave requires a specific format when going to edit a file because the drop down "pre formated" capture templates have selections for capture with intent to edit and capture for none. The templet I am getting the problems with is a "custom" selection where I chose the capture specs. 640x480 and 29.97 fps, mpeg2. This might be where my problem is.....
