  1. Due to problems with Vdub refusing to append seperate AVI files,(Multisegmented ones are okay-see my other post.),at the moment I've been reduced to editing my footage in TMPGEnc.
Once I've rendered the different files to MPeg1 PAL VCD standard, I use the "MPeg Tools/Cut/join" to add the different files together.
There's been no real problems in using the Cut/join mpeg option. The only "issue" is that there has been an occasional audio "spike" between the joined mpeg frames.
That isn't a drama as I gave myself room in the joined frames to cut out the area of mpeg file I didn't want.
However, I'm a little frustrated that the project wizard source editing tool only seems to be available in the whole rendering option.
That mpeg editor is a marvellous little cut/join tool,& I used it to cut/edit things & rid myself of the audio spike. However it required then that I had to re-render the entire mpeg1 VCD file all over again for 3.5 hours.
Is there any option to use that editing tool from the project wizard & NOT have to re-render the entire file again?
Failing that, are there any other free mpeg1 editing utils?

  2. I've learned that you do have to re-render in most instances of editing the mpeg1 files. There's a suggestion for improvements to TMpGenc, allow the editor used in the Wizard mode,to be used in Mpeg tools!
