I'm using a AverTV Stereo Capture card and VirtualDub, trying to capture using Divx Codec directly per the instructions on this website. While capturing, I noticed the framesdropped were in the 1000s for a 2 minute test capture! When playing back the avi file, the resulting video looks okay, but the audio file is WAY out of sync with the video [Approx 30 seconds], and appears to be shorter then the video [usually stops after 1 minute of playback].
I don't have the above problem w/PicMJPEG.
Trying to capture at 352x288 resolution.
Sys Specs:
Pent4, 2Ghz
512 Ram
120gighd
WindowsXP HomeEdition
wdm drivers from btwincap.sourceforge.net
I'd like to be able to capture directly to divx to save on diskspace.
Also note, prior to installing the wdm drivers from btwincap.sourceforge, I was able to capture directly to Divx [320x240] w/o any problems.

Advanced parameters; Performance/Quality - Start with Medium and see if you can go to Slow. Default is Slowest and that's not gonna happen with live capture to Divx 5.02
