  1. In the guide it says that if the film is over 80 mins you'll have to split it, correct? So if I have a 100 min film I'll cut it in half to make 2 50min mpgs. The problem, is that there is alot of space wasted on the cds then (only 400mbs used or somewhat). Is there anyway to increase the amount of space used by increasing visual/sound quality and still have them as standard vcds?

    Thanks in advance,

The way you phrased the question.....definitly NOT.
The standard VCD is 352x240,29.97fps 1150kbps video and 224kbps audio...any deviation is non-standard.
Now if you don't care if its nonstandard....
    I did a 106 min that came out at 723mb...using a MVBR..min 450 max 950 with audio at 96...came out good (TheFastandtheFurious)

Remember when you start tweaking... that the last tab under settings must list the stream as "mpeg1 Video CD Non-standard" or any changes are ignored for the most part...

  4. Also check out http://www.kvcd.net. An excellent way to optimize the amount of video per CD. It won't get _every_ movie to fit on a single CD, but it does a pretty good job with most.
