Just got star wars ep2 off the internet and am going to burn it as a vcd 2.0. Problem is that all of the star wars files i have seen on the net are typically below 200 mb each. Now this one is 2 different 700 mb files. I am hesitant to start authoring it since this may indicate that it has already been prepped. How can I tell if it's in proper format and encoded properly before i waste my time. I've had files before in mpg format downloaded that weren't properly formatted. This file is already in .mpg format. One last thing, has anybody downloaded the FTF-star wars ep2 file off the net? I'm in the middle of it and just want to make sure i'm not getting ultimately screwed.

There are tools here that will tell you what format it is....
But simply put....most of the files on the net are divx-avi...
Is the one you have an mpg.....if not it must be mpg1 to be burnt to VCD. -
Use nero select burn VCD, drag the file across, if it is not in the correct format nero will complain about the file being non compliant. If no such complaint arises you know that the file is VCD compliant.
I have downloaded both divx and VCD compliant mpegs, the latter can be burned straight to disc as they are.
