dvdx 2.0 Please HELP me!!!

Hello, another Newbie so bear with me......thanks
These are the questions that I could not find the answers to on the site.

when i use the dvdx guide i can follow it all the way to the end, when i press encode i get the error message MPEGenc:unable to open program file none.mpg Should i have copied the dvd first using smart ripper and then dvd2avi or does dvdx do the work of the other two progs. I'm gettin a bit confused now and would really appreciate some expert help.

You have to have installed decoders for MPEG-2. Try to install WinDVD or try to download drivers from section TOOLS and install them.

just wondering if you ever got past that error, or how you fixed it, because i encoded the movie "friday" just fine with no errors and now that im trying to encode "a beautiful mind", im unable to open the movie.... keep getting the mpegenc: unable to open error......the only thing i did different was split the chapters because im burning onto 2 cds.........any info would be helpful.....thanks
