  1. Hey guys, I am really new at all this stuff. I have been reading posts for a few months now and everything has been going great. I have a Pinnacle DV500 capture card (i know-i know) and a sony trv8. I edited up some video with Premire and was ready to author a dvd. The export movie feature using pinacle settings had mpeg2. Sounded good so I did that and tried to bring that into Ulead to author a DVD...then i got stuck.

Premire made a .mp2 and a .wav. There seems to be no way in Ulead to merge these. Am I doing something wrong, skipping a step perhaps, any help would be great! Thanks

Ulead requires a program stream, which is a multiplexed Mpeg file. What you have are elementary streams with the audio and video in separate files. Look at the guides to the left and you can find some information on converting the .WAV file to .mp2 (also look at the BeSweet utility), and then you would have to multiplex the .m2v together with the new .mp2 using either BBmpeg or TMPGEnc. At that point you'll have a final .mpg to use with Ulead.

  3. Thanks, looking at Tmpg and it makes alot of sense now. I am rendering the audio and video together as we speak. So now I guess I just gotta hope I don't lose synch.......
