  1. i have been using the tmpgenc for some time and all has been well. but today i attempt to convert d2v & wav file (from DVD2AVI) to an mpg and the tmpgenc gives me the message:

    "cannot open or unsupported file"

then i proceed to try and open different types of files and the only ones that will open are mpg1's. it's definitely not a hardware problem, because i have been using it fine up until today. the only software i installed between the time it was working fine and now is kazaa lite. i uninstalled kazaa and tmpgenc still doesn't work.

i uninstalled tmpgenc, installed the most recent version (2.55) and it still doesn't work.

    ANY help would be appreciated!!

You might need to install the MPEG2 plugin for TMPGEnc.

I presume you guys have installed the VFAPI plugin?

If you have, you may need to play around with the priorities in Environmental settings.
