  1. I've burned an SVCD using DVD2SVCD. I don't have a hardware DVD player, so I'm trying to play this on my computer. Here's what I've tried:

Windows Media Player (with Intervideo DVD plug-in): Does not recognize the disc as SVCD. When I try to play to mpeg file, I get "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported."

PowerDVD: Does not recognize the disc as SVCD. PowerVCR: trying to play the mpeg file crashes the program.

WinDVD: Does not recognize the disc as SVCD. It will play the mpeg file correctly.

Cinematograph: Appears to recognize the disc as SVCD, but then freezes up as the disc drive churns.

Bear in mind that the disc is an 80 min, 700 meg disc, but the files I'm burning are about 750 megs. Nero does not complain when I burn (I've tried both bin/cue and Nero's SVCD option), and I can see all the files on disc using Explorer. I'm thinking that this "overburning" may be my problem, but I have no idea how to get the files smaller.

    Help please.
