I have been using TMPEnc 12a for months and no problems to make VCDs. Just got my DVR-A04 and bought a copy of Sonic DVDit! SE 2.5.2. After installing DVDit!, TMPEnc 12a got corrupted. I then uninstalled DVDit!, but TMPEnc was still corrupted. When I try to load any file that used to work fine before DVDit! install, I get:
"TMPEnc.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart program." "An error log is being created".
I have also tried the latest version of TMPEnc 2.5 and the problem still exists. I was getting frustrated and decided to erase my HD and reload Windows 2K. I loaded PowerDVD, MMC 7.6, Media Player 7.1 and everything worked fine with TMPEnc 12a, as soon as I installed DVDit! again, TMPEnc got corrupted again.
Does anyone knows if Sonic did that on purpose or if there is fix for this problem? I will send this message to Sonic as well.
Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Bullshit. I have DVdit on my comp and use Tmpgenc 12a / 2.54 etc and they are just fine.
You just have a corrupted file. Re-download that version. -
I also have this same problem. I have Tmpgenc 2.54, 2.55, and 2.56..none of which work after I installed DVDit PE. They won't open any of my files and just crash when i try to open anything. I installed 2.57 after I installed DVDit and that's the only version that works on my system right now. Does anyone know what could cause this?
