    Hi

I want to convert a avi to mpg, but there is some "white dot's" on the file.
I have tried different filter with VirtualDub and TMPGEnc but it is difficult to remove the dots.

Can anyone give me a tip of how I can get rid of the dots?

Are there any filter or method I can try out?
The avi is a VGA (640 × 480 pixels) from my Fuji finepix S602Zoom.

    Best regards

Well - there's a img button up on the message body but it looks like it requires a web site, if you don't have a web site then I'm not sure how to post an image

No that's great- I can see them
I see what you mean now
    Do the dots -
come and go as the video plays
move around as the video plays

Are the dots on the original captured footage?
from what you said in the original post this is a digital camera with an avi feature?

Actually the more I look at the spots the more they look like this
    http://www.mediachance.com/digicam/hotpixels.htm

Good little page about this - but according to this it should only appear with long exposure times not on bright sunny days like yours
    do.
do you get similar spots if you capture images at the same resolution?

    Hi

I dont get any white dots with ordinary photo(stills).

Yes, this is the new Fuji finepix s602s with full VGA video.

Someone have a ide if there is some filter who can remove
dots like this from a AVI or MPG?

I know that the digicam never will produce video with quality like a DV-
cam, but it could be fun to see if some tools/filter could remove dots like this.

Other than some of the noise removers - like smart smoother or HQ-smoother
they should remove some of the dots but most likely wipe out some needed picture information as well.
Have you talked to the place you bought the camera or even Fuji Service center near you?

Maybe the camera has a fault - I have seen a couple of of movies from different brand cameras and never seen that problem before - except in the instance of that web page I sent you.
