audio and tmpgenc 2.53

when trying to split a vcd compliant mpeg I'm ending up with the resulting portion come out perfectly video-wise, but after 4 minutes in, the audio cuts off...tried it 4 times with the same result at about the same time segment....i'm using the freeware version and my hard drive has 4 gb open, the video is 1.2 gb and I'm cutting down the middle - any thoughts?

I see that the new version can convert AVI's that have bad frames, before it use to warn/crash I'm wondering if this is a good thing.

If the AVI is converted and TMPGEnc does not give an error, will that mpeg be able to be split/merged like before.

If the split merge has not been updated then this might be a problem. ?
