I am using VCDGear 3.07 to convert a bin/cue file to mpeg. I have enabled file splitting because I need to move this file between machines and I don't have 800mb cds. The encoding works, and the file is split into 2 mpegs. Then I want to use TMPGEnc to change the mpeg to ntsc format from pal. TMPGEnc recognizes the first of the files, but the remaining portion of the file after the cut cannot be opened byTMPGEnc. I thought maybe the file was corrupted, but powerdvd plays it just fine. What's the problem?![]()

Are you attempting to extract and cut a SVCD? I'm not 100% sure but I remember hearing somewhere that VCDGear was only designed for VCD not SVCD. While VCDGear works fine for extracting an MPEG-2 stream I don't think it has the capability to properly cut one.
If I were you, I'd use Tmpgenc or BBMpeg to cut the extracted files if you need to move them. It does not seem like VCDGear can be an all-in-one solution in this case. -
Thanks for the response. I was looking at the cutting function on TMPGEnc, and I noticed that you can't cut by the frame. What program do you recommend for doing this? I'm basically trying to link all of these in a dvdit project, and I just want to make sure that the ransitions are going to be seamless.
