  1. There's a recent patch for Ulead Video Studio 6 (actually, the first patch for that release):

    DVD Burning Patch

    This patch fixes known bugs and support problems with our products' DVD burning features. This patch will fix the following bugs and support problems:

    Major:

    DVD+R drive and media support: Allows you to use DVD+R drives and discs to burn your DVDs.

    Toshiba DVD-ROM/CD-RW SD-R1202 drive: Support for this Toshiba drive model will be enabled.

    VCD/SVCD/DVD video and audio syncronization problem: Fixes the video and audio synchronization problem (in most cases) when you use a MPEG file that is generated by a hardware-based encoder.

    Microsoft® Media Player playback problem in Microsoft® Windows® XP: Allows you to play DVDs created using our products "correctly" when using Windows XP's Media Player and other software players in Windows XP.

    Minor:

    Erasing CDs using MATSUSHITA CD-RW CW-8572 drive: Allows you to erase the contents of your CD-R/RWs when using this model.

    Writing speed infromation for Hitachi GMA-4020B Drive (Multi Writable DVD): Fixes the inaccurate writing speed information when using this drive.

    Buffer under-run protection for Pioneer DVR-A03 when a DVD-R/-RW containing data is used: Allows you to use the Buffer under-run function when rewriting onto DVD-R/-RW using this model.

    IEEE-1394 Panasonic DVD-RAM/R drive problem when DVD-RAM UDF driver is installed: Fixes compatibility problems, you will be able to use this model after installing the DVD-RAM UDF driver.

    DVD PAL photo slide show accuracy problem: Fixes certain accuracy problems (e.g. timing) when creating DVD slide shows in the PAL format.
