I am very new to this (about 2 days) and I just burned a screener copy of a movie using tmpgenc and nero. The movie plays fine in my player, but seems slightly fuzzy (ex. the credits are hard to read) this is a vcd and not an svcd since my player is incapable of playing them. Is this just a characteristic of vcd's or is there a way to sharpen the picture?
oh ya - to try and correct this, I burned it slow (4x) and I've messed around with the filters a bit, just so you know I have been trying. LOL![]()

Have you tried to use the 'Sharpen Edge' filter in TMPGenc. It is one way to sharpen a slightly fizzy picture. Similarly you can run your source picture through VirtualDub and use its internal Sharpen filter, though this is more complex as framserving would be needed.
