  1. Hi, no matter how I capture stills off some RM clips while playing it with Real One player (print screen, screen capture programs, etc.) the play area is always black in the resulting JPEG. Any one any thoughts? Thanks.

    There is a program called Tinra (this is not real anymore) which will allow you to convert it to another format. You can then use your favourite edit program to extract the frame you want. The site moves around from place to place, the current site is http://guiguy.wminds.com/ or do a search for tinra on your favourite search engine.

  3. Thanks for the suggestion, althought I don't want to convert the entire RM clip into something else just for capturing a couple of screen shots.

    When you try to capture a screen shot from RealPlayer or RealOne Player, the video window in RealPlayer will not show the video image that was playing in the window at the moment the sreen shot was captured. To correctly capture a screen shot of the player that includes the video window image, the "Use optimized video" option has to be turned off. Then capture the image using the instructions below...
