Ok, everyone knows that trick so you can play SVCDs on VCD-only standalone players, right?
I use DVD2SVCD to create MPEG-2 VBR files, which I later single-multiplex to MPEG-1 VCD in TMPG so that my standalone player can read them when I burn them as non-compliant vcds in Nero.
Usually, with 2-CD encoded movies, the output mpeg is a bit smaller than the input one, which is fine.
Now, sometimes, I try to make ONE-cd movies, but the output single-multiplexed mpeg is A LOT bigger than the input one, about 300 MB bigger!
If I multiplex it to "MPEG-1 VCD Non-Standard", the file size is "correct", but I have A/V desync after burning.
So, any ideas on making a one-cd SVCD with VCD header? Any ideas on the best way of burning your mpeg files to VCD?
Thanks in advance!!

the only problem I see here is standard VCD is CBR, and you are using a svcd that is VBR, just changing the headers will not change the bitrate.
