  1. Anybody has experience or done while capturing from miniDV to PC as an AVI file with Date and time stamp on AVI file. If you have experience, can you share that experience please. Any suggestion would be appreciable.
I'm enabled the Date code format on camcorder and tried to capture into PC but no luck.

  2. ...sorry, I don't think it works that way. Although you've placed date/time (and even data) code on the frames, they are being used in a different manner in your editing software.

Your easiest option is to apply titles (containing dates) to the first few frames.

  3. Thank you. Actually still without your suggested procedure I'm able to write date and time whatever is there in my camcorder to my captured file, but I'm achieving this in two way trasnferring (but not frame editing or anything). I would like to know anyone has experience with direct capturing.

    thanks,

  4. Try scenalyzer. It can read timestamps and name the captured files using them.

  5. No. You misunderstood my question? I want my date and time stamp on each and every frame whatever is in my Camcorder tape. Not as a filename or anything.

    thanks,

Try looping through your vcr and having the vcr display the running time, some vcr's will show the date as well but if not there's a logo filter for vdub where you can add the time or youcould use the subtitle filter to add the date

    just a suggestion

    hope this helps...

  7. I don't know any direct way to do that but have considered putting the information you need in a subtitle (or logo) and having it display thoughout the clip. Might not be the easiest way but it'll get the job done.
