What is the best program for cutting an MPEG-1/MPEG-2 video into 2 or more parts? I'm using TMPGEnc right now, but it never cuts it exactly where it's supposed to. I always try to cut my videos at points where there is a fade out/fade-in transition but TMPGEnc seems to either cut it before or after the point I choose.

I've even tried encoding with the source range filter, but get the same results. Is there a reason for this or is it just "one of those things"? If it's not then I would much rather use a program that didn't have that particular problem.

    Thanks,

    Xanthas

  2. Try "MPEG2VCR(3.12)".

It is best for cut/joining mpeg2/mpeg1.
